Discussion:
At 1136 pm, 9.1 inches of snow was measured in Stony Brook, and snowfall rates of 4-5 inches per hour have been observed across many parts of the island. This is a truly remarkable snowband. Another 4-6 inches will likely fall before tapering off toward daybreak. I am increasing the probability of impacts to 95%, as high as I can legally go, and splitting it almost evenly between a delayed opening and full closing scenario.

Delays will be possible Thursday. This mainly depends on the time that snow ends, how much snow is on the ground, and how fast it melts. All factors considered, there is a moderate chance of impacts at this time.
